Marketer

About The Job

Marketer - Full Time - Halifax, NS/Remote

We’re on the lookout for a creatively-inclined Marketing professional that considers themselves a generalist, but has a keen interest and experience in creating engaging digital marketing campaigns with platforms like HubSpot. We are a small team where the marketer will play a pivotal role with clients, taking them from key messaging development and foundational marketing principles through to executing effective materials and drip campaigns that encapsulate their positioning, value proposition, differentiators, and brand style and voice.

We are the antithesis of a buttoned-up firm. You’ll be a great fit for the team if you like to jump in while running, build planes while flying, and like to see a project through from start to finish. And if you love any of our 4 core food groups (coffee, beer, wine, bubbly water) - you’ll definitely fit right in.

Position is remote, but Nova Scotia-based is preferable.

What the Work Looks Like:

  • Meeting with clients (as a part of the team) to understand their business objectives, marketing needs, and prepare for project execution in accordance with the scope of work.

  • Develop detailed project plans, inputting timelines and deliverables to ensure clarity and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored marketing strategies that align with their business goals.

  • Conduct research and compile data to inform strategy documentation and planning.

  • Use CRMs (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) for marketing campaign management, including workflow automation, landing pages, and email nurturing to maximize client success.

  • Create impactful marketing materials from copywriting through to design in Canva — think social media graphics, presentations, print materials, overview docs etc.

  • Write and develop communications materials to engage clients (or their audiences) effectively.

  • Design and implement effective digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email and social media.

  • Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Help our clients prepare for and execute events - from organizing swag to designing booths to follow-up actions and everything in between.

  • Sharing your ideas and collaborating with our partners on things like paid media strategies, web development, branding, photography, workshops and others.

What Your Background Might Might Look Like:

  • Education and/or experience in Marketing, PR/Communications, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in HubSpot and/or Salesforce, including marketing automation and CRM functions.

  • Experience developing marketing materials from start to finish (in Canva primarily)

    • If you do graphic design in other systems - that works too!

  • Experience working directly with clients or working with leadership teams across departments.

  • Experience with events and the good times that come with it - like kooky and fun swag, networking people actually want to do, and thinking of all the things our clients might not think of.

  • Solid understanding of digital marketing principles and strategies.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present ideas effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to pivot, adapt, and excel in a multi-client environment.

Compensation is negotiable and commensurate with experience and enthusiasm!
