Social Media Coordinator (Freelance) - Halifax, NS/Remote

Chapter 3 is looking for an enthusiastic multi-tasker with a keen eye for social media. The Social Media Coordinator (Freelance) will be responsible for managing and developing content for various clients’ social media accounts. This individual will be working alongside the Owner & Principal Consultant to create strategies for content that align with the clients’ business goals. In addition, they will be responsible for scheduling & posting content, maintaining the content calendar/schedule, and ensuring the client’s accounts are optimized on an ongoing basis.

Position is remote, but Nova Scotia-based is preferable. 

Skills:

●      Knowledge of online content strategy and creation

●      Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills

●      A collaborative approach to working, detail oriented, and highly responsive

●      Excellent time-management and organizational skills

●      Experience in Canva or similar platforms and an eye for design is considered an asset

●      Organized and adaptable to day-to-day changes

●      Can work effectively with weekly deadlines

●      Proficient on Instagram, Facebook, & TikTok (additional platforms are considered an asset)

●      Ability to stay up to date with industry trends and come up with fun and creative social media campaign ideas

Responsibilities:

●      In collaboration with the Primary Consultant and end clients, develop social media strategies and supporting materials inclusive of: content calendars, post creation (graphic & copy), recommended channels, posting frequency, etc. 

●      Create engaging posts for various social networks, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and LinkedIn

●      Optimize social media posts (language, tone, message) based on the clients’ target audience behaviors

●      Update our social media pages with compelling company news

●      Developing and sending monthly analytic reports to the Primary Consultant

●      Creating ad hoc content when needed

●      Other duties as required

●      *Interacting and engaging on the account on behalf of the client

*Only for specific clients (as required) and under an approved scope and timeline.

Compensation is negotiable on an hourly or project-scoped basis and commensurate with experience and enthusiasm!
